Yaya Toure will not leave City, according to his dad

The father of Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has claimed he is certain his son will remain with the Premier League champions next season in spite of threats to quit the club.

The Ivory Coast international and his controversial agent Dimitry Seluk both hit out at the club for apparently forgetting to wish him on his birthday and failing to make a proper effort to celebrate the occasion when the club was on an end of season tour of the United Arab Emirates, the home of City’s owner Sheikh Mansour.

Seluk had recently accused the hierarchy at City of treating Toure, one of their players of the season like an absolute nobody and admitted that the player would love to make a return to his old club Barcelona, where he spent some of the most successful time of his career.

Yaya Toure signed on a massive deal with City just last season worth reportedly to be around £ 200,000 a week and has said that he will make a comment about the situation at the end of the World Cup, but his father Mory has tried to reassure fans of Manchester City by claiming his son will stay on at the club.

He stated that his son will not leave Manchester City and it is also not his wish for Yaya to leave the club as well.

He went on to add that if Yaya wanted City to show some particular care regarding his birthday, it was because he felt it was time that the club showed him some love for all the sacrifices he has made for Manchester City since his move to the club.

Paris Saint Germain are also interested in the services of Yaya Toure but City have no plans to sell their star man who still has four years left on his contract.
