TOURE CONGRATULATES CITY ON LEAGUE TITLE WIN

Manchester City legend Yaya Toure has moved swiftly to Congratulate his former club after the Cityzens added another English Premier League title to their trophy cabinet. City were confirmed champions after their local rivals Manchester United lost 2-1 at home to Leicester City on Tuesday night in the Premier League amid concerns that Solksjær fielded a weakened side and expected the loss.

City made history by becoming the first-ever club in the Premier League to emerge League Champions despite being in as low as 8th position on the 1st of January in the league table. They have been remarkable all season and had to carefully maintain a steady upward movement in the league table despite not starting the season on the front foot.

After announcing the title triumph on their official Twitter page, Toure was a part of the many people who flooded the comments section to wish his former club huge congratulations and admitted that they deserved it. In his comment, Toure said he would like to congratulate them on their title win, that they deserved it, and also wished them the best for the future.

The league title crown is coming after they already won the league cup and they could complete a treble this season as they’re also in the UEFA Champions League final. They will play league rivals Chelsea in the final of the showpiece event layer this month and Guardiola will be looking to win the one title he has failed to deliver as Manchester City manager since signing for the club back in 2016.

Should City win the Champions League title, it will complete a very brilliant season for them even after the struggles they had earlier in the campaign. Chelsea, on the other hand, are also in the FA Cup final where they take on Leicester City.
